As I promised, I will share my homemade oat body scrub recipe. You will need the following ingredients:
- 1 part oats (You can use old fashioned oats if you want a deep exfoliation, or if you have more dull skin. For the ones with sensitive skin I would recommend instant oats, as they are softer and less edgy)
- 1 part granulated sugar (it does not matter if it is brown or white)
- ½ part base oil (I use coconut oil as it is affordable and convenient, but you can use avocado, almond, grapeseed or other base oil)
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 1 tablespoon of baking soda
How to prepare it?
First, grind the oats finely and put them in a container. Next, add the sugar and the baking soda, the oil and the honey. Mix well until the mixture becomes homogenous. You can store the scrub in a refrigerator for up to 1 month.
How to use?
Massage softly on the face and body, without rubbing too hard. Leave the scrub on the skin for about 5-10 minutes, massage again, and wash away with warm water.
