Help you lose weight
Grapes are low in calories: only 69kcal per 100g. Besides, they have a low glycemic index, which means that they do not cause sharp spikes in the blood sugar levels. What is more, they have high water content and makes you feel full without eating big amounts of the fruit. It also helps the body to flush all the toxins and unnecessary substances out of the body. Grapes are also rich in dietary fiber, which makes you less hungry and stimulate you to eat less during the day. Taking all those factors into account, we can conclude that grapes help you to lose weight by suppressing your hunger and cleansing you from inside.
Reduces stretch marks
We already explained how Vitamins A and C in grapes help for fading out scars. Well, as the stretch marks are one specific type of scars, those vitamins can reduce their visibility. It is proven that long term consumption of grapes results in fewer stretch marks in various body areas, including belly, boobs, thighs, and arms. What is more, as vitamin K in grapes makes the skin more elastic and flexible, it reduces the chance of new stretch marks to appear. Because if the skin is flexible enough to sustain quick stretches, no scarring will occur.
Because of the high content of Vitamins A, C, and E, grapes effectively reduce the risk of developing eye diseases, connected to vision loss, watering, itchiness, or pain. Those nutrients block the development of harmful microorganisms and keep the eyes healthy. Besides, vitamin K boosts the regeneration of the retina and improves overall eye health.
Boosts brain function by improving blood circulation
Proper blood circulation is vital to the brain’s health. And as the iron and copper in grapes ensure proper transportation of oxygen and nutrients in the body through the blood, they significantly benefit the brain functions. People who eat grapes regularly claim that they are more concentrated, learn quickly, do not get distracted easily, do not have any memory problems, and are more energetic. What is more, some studies show that the combination of nutrients and antioxidants in grapes helps for the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease, although this claim is not fully proven yet.
Reduce bad cholesterol level and blood pressure
The potassium in grapes maintains healthy blood pressure levels. Together with the fiber, vitamin B complex, and calcium, those fruits balance the levels of good and bad cholesterol (LDL and HDL). As a result, they get rid of the artery buildup, prevent the development of heart diseases, and reduce the risk of heart attack and strokes.
Homemade Grape Body Scrub Recipe
Now, as promised, the body scrub recipe. This homemade skincare product is super easy and quick to make, and at the same time, it is super effective. It removes all the dead skin cells, boosts the natural exfoliation process, soothes the skin texture, gets rid of any impurities and at the same time detoxes and nourishes.
